I recently checked out youtube and grabbed the following rare Kishore Kumar live videos. Rare, because anything related with him is rare for his fans anyway. A few of these belong to a charity show, part aired by Doordarshan on that evening. This, about a year and a half before he finally departed from this world.

A satirist-writer of fame KP Saxena called him BHAAND (cheap entertainer) soon after the show in one of his news magazine columns, citing his going down flat on floor and all those leg swings infront of Delhi’s kids and women. How nakedly different opinions could be! Yet we laughed and moved on, since the author’s very job required him to do what he did.
