I went through several mp3 sites and came up with the following list, mostly having sentimental and romantic songs. Most of them are from the post-1980 phase with a very matured KK voice quite evident therein. You may go through the archives of all masters, including KK, Rafi and Mukesh, and find as they grew in age, their respective voices may have lost some of their sheens, but the playback they gave also became more “Masti Bhara” (joyous) and ageless due to their growing mastery. I particularly enjoy the last few years of Mukesh and Rafi more compared to their earlier phase.
This is not the same in KK’s case though. I shall speak more about his best period in some other post. Right now, let me list here some of his later songs for you. Leaving aside a couple of them all are from the early to mid 80s. Observe his effortlessness of singing and the sustained Midas Touch, even as he could (as per his own admission) not yell (lol) in the same way as he had been able to do in the early years.
